Charles Frodsham & Co. Creates Clock for the Queen

The Worshipful Company of Clockmakers presented a clock to Her Majesty the Queen on Tuesday, created in celebration of her Diamond Jubilee.


Based on a reworked fusee movement by Charles Frodsham & Co., who were Keepers of the clocks

at Buckingham Palace, the English clockmakers also constructed the case, dial and hands. 


The dial surround bears the arms of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers alongside the Queen’s cypher, while the backplate of the movement is engraved with an inscription from Freeman Charles Scarr.
