No matter what your tastes, there is a watch out there for you. That's how it seems, anyway; certainly in the last few years the watch industry has proliferated with choice. Case materials, strap materials, dial colours - especially dial colours.
Nomos Glashutte has always been one of the more adventurous brands when it comes to moving away from the classic blue-black-white palette of choices. Partly because it has traditionally stuck to a unisex marketing strategy (although that's less the case these days, with more overtly masculine and feminine designs and colour choices emerging), and partly because the occupants of its BerlinerBlau design studio embrace colour and modernity in a way that not every Swiss brand can get its head around. You want to see some of the dial designs that haven't made it to market...
The Tetra has always been offered with a wider range of colours than some of its stablemates (a fact not unrelated, I believe, to its greater popularity among women). There are blues, greens and golds, pastel shades and vivid pinks. And now, a rich purple.
Probably, the best thing about the Tetra plum is the contrast created between the dial colour and the power reserve: the purple, red and white combination is quite unlike anything else we've seen on a watch. The Tetra plum, which measures 29.5mm across, uses the hand-wound calibre DUW 4301 with 43 hours of power.
